오늘 4월 2일부터 ‘갈보리 침례교회 Calvary Baptist Church’ Parlor 실에서 오후 12시부터 주일예배를 드리게 되었습니다. 저희 교회가 속해 있는 BGCT (Baptist General Convention of Texas)의 교차문화 사역 interculture ministry을 담당하는 스텝 Mark Heavener와 개인적으로 친분을 나누고 있던 차에 저희 교회가 예배실이 있으면 좋겠다고 부탁을 했습니다. 그리고 2주 후에 갈보리 침례교회 담임목사님과 수석목사님이 저를 만나고 싶다는 연락을 받게 되었습니다. 약속 날짜 전에 그동안 저희 교회가 해왔던 선교사역과 저의 CV를 첨부해서 미리 보내고 David Chan 수석목사님을 만났습니다. 이미 우리 교회가 예배장소를 사용할 수 있도록 몇 개의 공간을 준비해 놓고 저에게 보여주셨습니다. 그러면서 4월 2일부터 바로 사용할 수 있다고 말씀해 주셨습니다. 저는 Parlor 실이 좋다고 말씀드리자 관리를 맡은 분들에게 확인을 한 후 알려주겠다고 했습니다. 이런 과정을 거쳐 저희 교회가 갈보리 침례교회의 예배실을 2시간 30분 동안 사용할 수 있게 되었습니다. 그동안 저희 가정에서 모이면서 불편함 점을 내색하지 않으시고 함께 주일예배를 지켜 주셔서 감사합니다. 분명 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 희생과 헌신이라고 믿습니다.
축복 심방을 4월에도 진행하겠습니다. 시간과 장소를 정해 주셔서 알려주시면 좋겠습니다. 뿐만 아니라 교회를 못 정하신 분들에게 제안하셔서 심방을 받을 수 있도록 자리를 만들어 주시기 바랍니다. 하나님은 여전히 전도의 미련한 것으로 복음이 전달되고 그리스도의 사랑으로 구원계획을 이루십니다. 개인적으로 전도하는 것이 어려운 분들, 하나님과의 관계가 회복되어야 할 분들을 찾으셔서 심방으로 연결될 수 있도록 전도하시기 바랍니다. 친분이 있던 지인에게 갑자기 복음을 제시하고 설명하기란 쉽지 않습니다. 축복 심방을 통해서 가정과 사업 위에 하나님의 복된 역사가 나타날 수 있도록 권하신다면 귀한 전도의 한 방편이 될 수 있습니다. 전도의 부담감은 거룩한 짐이고 예수님께서 말씀하신 가벼운 짐입니다. 한 영혼에 대한 무관심은 죄입니다. 복음을 통한 축복 심방을 권했을 때 거절을 당할 수도 있습니다. 그럼에도 우리의 전도는 하늘의 상이 됩니다. 구원의 역사는 우리가 억지로 교회에 한 영혼을 데리고 온다고 해서 이루어지는 것이 아닙니다. 하나님께서 직접 복음을 통해 구원받아야 할 영혼을 이끄십니다. 중요한 점은 이미 믿은 우리가 복음을 전하고 초청해야만 하나님께서 구원의 역사를 이루신다는 것입니다. 하나님께서 일하실 수 있도록 우리는 전하고 권하며 초청해야 합니다.
Today, from April 2nd, we will have Sunday worship from 12:00 PM in the Parlor room of Calvary Baptist Church. I was personally acquainted with Mark Heavener, a staff member in charge of the interculture ministry of the BGCT (Baptist General Convention of Texas), to which our church belongs, and asked for a worship room for our church. And two weeks later, I received a call from the senior pastor and senior pastor of Calvary Baptist Church that they wanted to meet me. Before the appointed date, I sent the missionary work our church has been doing and my CV in advance and met with Pastor David Chan. He has already prepared several spaces for our church to use as a place of worship and showed them to me. And he told me that you can use it right away from April 2nd. When I said that the Parlor room was good, I said that I would let the people in charge check it and let me know. Through this process, our church was able to use the chapel of Calvary Baptist Church for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The Blessing Visitation will also be held in April. I would appreciate it if you could let me know the time and place. In addition, I ask that you suggest a place for those who have not decided on a church so that they can receive a visitation . God still delivers the gospel through the foolishness of evangelism and fulfills the salvation plan through the love of Christ. Please find those who find it difficult to personally evangelize and those whose relationship with God needs to be restored, and evangelize them so that they can connect with God through visitation. It can be a precious way of evangelism if you invite God's blessed work to appear in their family and business through the Blessing Visitation. The burden of evangelism is a holy burden, and it is a light burden that Jesus said. Indifference to one soul is a sin. You may be rejected when you ask for a Blessing Visitation through the Gospel. Nevertheless, our evangelism becomes the reward of heaven. God directly leads the souls who need to be saved through the Gospel. The important point is that God will accomplish the work of salvation only when we, who have already believed, preach the gospel and invite Him.
